Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of direct flights to Aleppo, expanding its growing network in Syria. The new route will begin on July 7, 2026, and will connect Abu Dhabi with one of Syria’s largest cities through three weekly non-stop flights.
The new service will operate between Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi and Aleppo International Airport. The airline said the route will provide passengers with a simple and affordable way to travel between the United Arab Emirates and Syria.
The launch comes as demand for travel between the two countries continues to increase. The airline expects the new flights to support family visits, business travel, and tourism while giving travelers more choices.
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is also increasing its flights to Damascus. The airline currently operates four weekly services to the Syrian capital. From July 1, 2026, those flights will increase to daily operations, giving passengers greater flexibility when planning their trips.
The airline said the additional services show its commitment to improving regional connectivity. The expanded schedule is designed to meet rising passenger demand while strengthening links between the UAE and Syria.
Air Arabia Group Chief Executive Officer Adel Al Ali said the new Aleppo route and the additional Damascus flights reflect the airline’s focus on offering greater convenience and value to customers. He added that the expanded services also support stronger business, tourism, and cultural ties between the two countries.
Earlier in June, the airline also confirmed the return of direct flights between Sharjah and Aleppo. With services now available from both Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, travelers will have more options when flying to Syria.
The combination of routes means passengers can choose between two major UAE airports when traveling to Damascus or Aleppo. This wider network is expected to improve travel flexibility for both residents and visitors.
The airline has continued to expand its regional network as international travel demand recovers. Adding new destinations and increasing flight frequencies remain part of its long-term growth strategy. Syria has become an important market as more travelers seek direct air connections after years of limited services.
The launch of the Abu Dhabi to Aleppo route is expected to benefit families with relatives in both countries. It may also encourage more business activity by making travel faster and easier. Tourism could also receive a boost as direct flights reduce travel time and simplify journey planning.
Air Arabia operates a fleet made up entirely of Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 aircraft. These single-aisle aircraft are widely used on regional and medium-haul routes because of their fuel efficiency and passenger comfort.
Passengers flying with the airline can use several onboard services during their journey. The carrier offers SkyTime, a free in-flight streaming platform that allows travelers to enjoy entertainment on their personal devices. Customers can also purchase meals and snacks from the SkyCafe onboard menu.
Frequent travelers can join the Air Rewards loyalty program. The program allows passengers to earn and redeem points across the airline’s network without many of the restrictions found in traditional airline reward programs.
The airline continues to position itself as a low-cost carrier that combines affordable fares with modern travel services. Its growing route network aims to serve both leisure and business travelers across the Middle East and nearby regions.
Customers can already book tickets for the new Abu Dhabi to Aleppo route. Reservations are available through the airline’s official booking channels, customer service center, and licensed travel agencies.
The addition of Aleppo and the increase in Damascus flights mark another step in Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s network expansion. As demand for regional travel continues to grow, the airline is strengthening its presence in the market while giving passengers more direct and convenient travel options between the UAE and Syria.
