Three Emirati startups have received support packages worth up to AED100,000 after completing a startup development program in Abu Dhabi. The initiative aims to help local entrepreneurs turn early ideas into successful businesses through mentoring, training, and industry connections.
The program was created through a partnership between Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global technology ecosystem. It gives aspiring Emirati founders the tools they need before moving into more advanced startup programs.
A total of 17 Emirati startups took part in the selection process after completing the three-month program. During the final Demo Day, founders presented their business ideas to investors, government representatives, and industry experts.
The startups showcased projects across several fast-growing industries. These included artificial intelligence, healthcare technology, climate technology, financial technology, and agricultural technology. Each team explained how its product could solve real-world problems while supporting innovation and economic growth.
After reviewing the presentations, the judging panel selected three winners based on innovation, business potential, and market readiness.
Limb earned first place and received an in-kind support package worth AED100,000. The startup has developed an artificial intelligence platform that helps physiotherapy patients complete rehabilitation through remote monitoring and personalized treatment plans. The technology allows healthcare professionals to follow patient progress while improving access to rehabilitation services.
Reach LLM secured second place and received AED60,000 in support. The company created an artificial intelligence platform that helps businesses improve their visibility and performance across large language models. The platform is designed to help brands strengthen their digital presence as AI-powered search and information tools continue to grow.
Third place went to Hign Al Khaleej, which received AED40,000 in support. The startup operates a digital marketplace that allows users across the Gulf region to buy, sell, and auction camels through an online platform. The business combines traditional trade with modern digital technology to reach a wider customer base.
The support packages include services and resources that help startups continue developing their businesses. These in-kind benefits may include mentoring, technical guidance, business development support, networking opportunities, and access to the wider innovation ecosystem.
Hub71 said the program focuses on helping entrepreneurs during the earliest stage of their startup journey. By providing guidance before companies enter later growth programs, founders can develop stronger business models and prepare for long-term success.
Hub71’s Head of Value Creation, Basma Ahmed AlBadi AlDhaheri, said the progress made by the founders during the three-month program showed the value of early support. She said entrepreneurs who receive expert guidance, strong networks, and practical opportunities from the beginning are better prepared to build companies that create lasting value for Abu Dhabi and beyond.
The first edition of the program lasted 12 weeks and provided participants with extensive business training. Founders attended 21 workshops, panel discussions, and pitch sessions designed to strengthen both technical and business skills.
Training covered many important areas of startup development. Participants learned about product design, market validation, artificial intelligence strategy, go-to-market planning, fundraising, investor engagement, and business growth.
Industry experts from several leading organizations also shared practical knowledge throughout the program. Their experience helped founders understand how to develop products, test business ideas, attract customers, and prepare for future investment opportunities.
The initiative also connected entrepreneurs with investors, government agencies, and business leaders who can support future growth. These relationships are expected to help founders expand their businesses beyond the program.
Programs like MZN Hub71 play an important role in supporting Abu Dhabi’s growing startup ecosystem. By investing in local entrepreneurs at an early stage, the initiative encourages innovation, creates new business opportunities, and supports the development of technology-driven companies across multiple industries.
As Abu Dhabi continues to strengthen its position as a regional innovation hub, programs that combine funding, mentorship, and industry access are helping Emirati entrepreneurs transform promising ideas into scalable businesses. The latest awards highlight the city’s ongoing commitment to building a strong and competitive startup ecosystem for the future.
