Etihad Arena Abu Dhabi Sold Out Rashed Al Majed concerts marked a strong return for live shows in the UAE capital. The venue restarted its concert schedule on Thursday. It hosted the first of two sold-out shows by Rashed Al Majed.
The event was the first major concert at the arena since live events were disrupted in February due to regional tensions linked to the Iran war situation. The return show drew more than 13,000 fans to Yas Island.
Rashed Al Majed is a well-known Bahraini-Saudi singer. He is one of the most famous voices in Khaleeji music. Many fans call him the “Sinbad of Arabic song.” His songs are widely known across the Gulf.
A second show was added for Saturday. This came after high demand for tickets. Both concerts sold out quickly. This shows strong interest in live music in Abu Dhabi again.
The Etihad Arena Abu Dhabi team said the response has been very positive. The venue management said this is an important moment for the city’s entertainment sector. It shows that large live events are returning with confidence.
Marcus Osborne, general manager of the arena, said the concerts mark a key step forward. He said live entertainment in the UAE is moving ahead again. He also said people are ready to gather for shared cultural experiences.
He explained that Rashed Al Majed was the right artist for this return. The singer has a strong connection with audiences across the region. His music is part of many cultural events and celebrations.
Osborne said live events are more than just concerts. They bring people together. They also create shared energy and emotional moments for fans.
The success of the Etihad Arena Abu Dhabi concerts also reflects wider recovery in the UAE entertainment sector. Other venues have also restarted shows after earlier disruption.
Dubai Opera recently returned with a concert called “Dubai: The Rhythm of Life.” It featured several Arab artists, including Yara, Mahmoud Al Turky, and Mouhamad Khairy.
Another venue, Space42 Arena in Abu Dhabi, also hosted sold-out shows during Eid Al Fitr in March. These included performances by Hussain Al Jassmi and Ahmed Saad.
More concerts are planned in the coming months. Egyptian singer Tamer Ashour is set to perform on May 16. Iraqi singer Kadim Al Sahir will also perform on May 28. These shows are part of Eid Al Adha celebrations.
The Etihad Arena Abu Dhabi schedule also includes more major international names. These include Omar Khairat, Atif Aslam, and Christina Aguilera later in the year.
Osborne said each event supports many parts of the local economy. This includes artists, production teams, security staff, transport, and hospitality workers.
He said large events help many industries at once. They create jobs and support local businesses. He also said many freelancers and technical teams benefit from each show.
Yas Island is one of Abu Dhabi’s top entertainment areas. It hosts major concerts, sports, and family events. The return of large shows adds more activity for tourism and hotels in the area.
Organizers say the future of live events in Abu Dhabi looks strong. They expect more international artists to include the city in global tours. The demand for concerts is rising again after months of pause.
Weeks ahead are expected to bring more announcements from the venue. Fans are waiting for new music events and global acts to be confirmed soon.
